Merrell Bros., Inc. was contracted to dredge, dewater and transport the biosolids from the Dillingham wastewater lagoon. Merrell Bros. transported their equipment to Seattle, where it was then loaded on to a cargo ship and delivered to the port of Dillingham, Alaska. Merrell Bros. used portable scales to weigh each load of dewatered biosolids from the (2) two Ashbrook presses used. The lagoon was dredged with an IMS hydraulic dredge. The dry cake was transported to the City-owned landfill.
