Merrell Bros., Inc. was contracted to clean two aerobic digesters at the Madison, IN WWTP. This project was bid using a daily rate for our team and equipment. Our team completed both digesters (see attached pictures) ahead of schedule and below budget. The sludge from the digesters was dewatered with mobile belt presses and the dewatered sludge was conveyed directly into our dump truck. The dump truck hauled the dewatered biosolids to the on-site sludge storage building. The Owner was responsible for the final hauling and disposal.
