Merrell Bros., Inc. completed a large project in Billings. MT. This project consisted of dredging large lagoons, which removed millions of gallons of Class B biosolids. The biosolids were transported and land applied as fertilizer onto local farm ground. This was an excellent project for Merrell Bros., the municipality, and the local farmers! With the increasing cost of transportation and commercial fertilizer, Merrell Bros was able to provide the municipality with an economic beneficial reuse option for disposal of their biosolids as well as an opportunity for local farmers to save a substantial amount of money on fertilizer.
